What is Reiki for Pets?
Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) comes from the Japanese Rei and Ki meaning spiritually guided life energy. Reiki for pets is a form of spiritual healing that helps harmonize the mind, body and soul of your pet. It can be used as a treatment for relaxation as well as a tool for releasing negative emotions and limitations. Reiki is not a religion. Reiki is a healing practice that promotes balance in mind, body, and spirit. Reiki is a safe, painless, and non-invasive practice that doesn’t interfere with any medical treatment. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. This healing art is an effective delivery system. The Reiki practitioner serves as a vessel that supplies healing energies where they are most needed.
Reiki is ideal for animals because it is gentle and non invasive. It doesn’t cause stress, discomfort or pain yet yields powerful results. For healthy animals, Reiki maintains health, provides peace and contentment. Reiki for animals can treat ailments that may be currently inhibiting your pet whether you notice it or not. It can reduce stress, relieve pain, headaches, stomach upsets, asthma, back problems, sinus, respiratory, canine hip dysplasia, anxiety and more. It can help with abused animals and neglected animals. Animals respond faster than people and positive results are often seen in a shorter period of time.
For dying animals, Reiki is a gentle way to provide comfort to your pet and keep them from being afraid and anxious.
Because Reiki is a healing energy, it will never harm you or your pet.
How can an animal be attuned to Reiki?
Animals are spiritual beings deserving of, and responsive to, Reiki attunements.
I cannot express how excited I am to announce this. It comes at a perfect time. As we have been telling people at our book signings, work shops, every where we go that Animals are here to teach us. Not only do they teach us, they heal us. As Candy and I finished our Reiki Master training our whole spiritual journey has led us to this: attuning animals.
Brownie, is a sweet greyhound that lives at the nursing home that Candy’s husband is at. Since he has been attuned to Reiki, Candy said he’s been in Gordon’s room all night and during the day! And not just in the room but ON the BED. BUT BUT, Brownie was not actually on the bed, Candy checked in with Brownie because Candy’s husband said there wasn’t much room on the bed because Brownie was there. Brownie said : Brownie said: Brownie is NOT on the bed with Dr. B but Brownie understands why Dr B feels the weight of his presence when Brownie is healing and giving comfort, the energy is very powerful to the receiver and this is why Dr B feels Brownie’s physical self is next to him or on top of him!
Having animal students surely is pure joy. We check in with each of them energetically and giving them support each day.
Imagine what the animals can do, they’re already so powerful in healing. Giving them the attunement just opens them up to the healing energy within.
What will a Reiki session feel like?
A session feels different for everyone. Some people and /or animals are more sensitive than others and may see or sense the healing. Others may fall asleep.
What is remote healing?
There are no time nor space restrictions to distant Reiki. Healing can be sent to any place in the world. Reiki distant healing treatments as very effective and can be even preferable. Some animals may live too far away or fearful of strangers, elderly or close to death. But they absorb Reiki distantly. Distant treatments are cost effective for the working owner and quicker to schedule. Distant Reiki offers exactly the same benefits as hands on. Distant Reiki treatment can provide relief from surgery, emotional healing, behavioral issues and ease transition to death. After a distant treatment results can be seen soon.
Depending on situation, pet may need more than one treatment.

Do animals have chakras?
Like humans, animals also have chakras. However, most animals, such as canines and felines, have 8 primary chakras including 6 bud chakras located in the 4 paw pads and the skin at the opening of the ears They also have 21 minor sensory chakras, although smaller but just as bit as important in the overall function.
They have one more major chakra than found in humans which is unique to animals called the Brachial chakra. The brachial chakra is located between the shoulders on either side of the body and it connects all the chakras. This chakra is where healing is supposed to begin at.
Animals receive and emit vital energy between the physical and subtle body through their chakras. The feelings and thoughts of animals flow through their chakra system mirroring onto their aura and into their physical animal body where outer manifestations or dis-ease can arise when they are not balanced.
Each organ in the body corresponds to the energy centers as they do in humans. A chart is provided to help you identify where your pets chakras are located.
