As a Reiki Master and Spiritual Money Alchemist, I’ve always believed in the magic of the universe and the unexpected ways it brings joy into our lives. This belief was wonderfully affirmed one Christmas season, in a story that involves a wish, a journey, and a yellow lab named Diva. Though Sammy Diva is now on the other side as Christmas is coming I was reminded of this story.

This enchanting tale begins several miles away, with my young niece penning a letter to Santa Claus. Instead of asking for toys or gadgets, her heart held a different wish – for her Auntie Ming to receive a dog for Christmas. Little did we know, her innocent request was about to set a magical series of events into motion. It was even in the local paper where she lived.

Back at my home, I felt a tug at my heartstrings when I opened a website containing a picture of a beautiful yellow lab. Her face radiated with a kind of purity and love that spoke directly to my soul. It was love at first sight, and I knew instantly that we were meant to be together. Diva, as she was fittingly named, was living in the mountains of Northern California, a world away from my coastal home.

The universe works in mysterious ways, and its magic was evident in how Diva’s journey to me unfolded. By a stroke of serendipity, my best friend and her husband were traveling through Northern California. They became the unwitting angels who would bring Diva into my life, bridging the distance between us.

Diva, a name bestowed upon her for winning a beauty contest, was not a name I would have chosen. But seeing her, there was no doubt the name suited her perfectly. In a whimsical twist, I decided to add ‘Sammy’, short for Samantha. And just like that, Sammy Diva was not just a name, but a symbol of unexpected joy and love in my life.

Sammy Diva’s arrival was more than just the adoption of a pet; it was a testament to the universe’s mysterious ways. Her presence in my life is a daily reminder of the magic that surrounds us, the power of pure wishes, and the unexpected ways in which the universe responds to the deepest desires of our hearts.
