A Snuggle-Struggle, Turkey Loaf Delight, and the Battle of the Bulge”
In the enchanting world of Harvey and Bella, we’ve got an exciting new chapter to add to their story. It appears that both Harvey and Bella have embarked on a culinary adventure that’s left them with a bit of a belly issue – they’ve both gained some weight. Harvey loves sitting in Mom’s lap one of his favorite things to do.
Harvey’s Weight Gain and the Vet’s Plan Harvey, our lap-loving extraordinaire, has seen his weight steadily climb from 16 to 20 pounds. Apparently, Harvey’s “abundance” shouldn’t translate into extra pounds. So, it’s adieu to those calorie-laden treats for Harvey as part of a carefully crafted plan to keep him at a healthy size.
Bella’s Battle of the Bulge Meanwhile, Bella, our independent spirit, has also found herself in a similar predicament. At 18 pounds, she’s been advised to shed a few pounds and aim for a svelte 15 or less. It seems even free spirits need to keep an eye on their waistlines. Bella’s getting ready to embark on her very own weight-loss journey.

Bella’s Perspective “Bella said Bella will surrender to Bella’s wants and needs. Why does Bella have the same rules as Harvey? Bella likes to live each day now Mom and the Vet Dr. would like Bella to be on a weight management plan. That’s what makes Bella mad, and Harvey feels Bella’s anger. Back off Harvey, back off everyone. Living each day with different points of views. This makes Bella feel confined. Treats – good food and lots of kindness help Bella feel the love. This is the medicine for Bella’s soul. Love treats kindness spread wellness all through Bella’s home.”
Harvey’s Perspective “Harvey said Harvey needs to meditate and relax, for Harvey feels so safe and loved in Mom’s lap. Harvey needs to push on through when Bella is upset. Sometimes this often Harvey will tell Harvey’s mind to calm and focus on Harvey. Harvey is eating better because Harvey’s food is tasting good. The treats are also delicious. Mom tries to have an overall balance so none of the family overeats. Mom knows it’s vital to have good food for Harvey and Bella. The food transformed Harvey into a bigger, stronger Harvey. Harvey likes Mom’s lap because it’s a haven without judgment, just warmth and love. Harvey needs and wants this.”
