As an Animal Communicator and Reiki Master, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with a myriad of creatures, each with their unique stories and experiences. However, there are some encounters that leave an indelible mark on your soul, forever altering your perspective. One such encounter was with Sophie, a 14-year-old Siamese cat.
Sophie’s owner reached out to us at Reiki Fur Babies, seeking help for her beloved feline who had recently lost her half-sister. The loss had left Sophie in a state of constant melancholy, her once vibrant personality now subdued and her days spent mostly in slumber.
During our Reiki session, I could sense the profound sadness enveloping Sophie. It was a palpable feeling of loss, a grieving heart, and an overall “flat” affect. As I channeled the healing energy of Reiki into Sophie, I felt her receptivity, her willingness to absorb the positive energy.
What happened next was nothing short of magical. As the session progressed, I heard a melody, a song playing like on the radio. It was the tune of “We are Siamese,” the iconic song from the Disney movie. The song echoed in my mind, its lyrics resonating with the sense of unity and togetherness. It was if Lilliana was singing for her departed sister, a tribute to their shared bond.
I was taken aback. I had not known that Sophie’s departed companion was her sister. The revelation gave me goosebumps. It was a testament to the deep connection animals share with each other and the profound ways in which they express their emotions.
When we shared this experience with Sophie’s owner, she was equally astounded. She revealed that they used to play the very same song to Sophie and her sister.
