Reiki is a holistic healing technique that can potentially assist in the healing process of a cat with an abscess in her cheek. Miss Wildflower is one of the 2021 five and has had a something with an abscess on her left cheek for almost three weeks. 

We’ve been doing antibiotics, wound flushes and compresses and while the abscess has healed, there’s still a lump about the size of a large marble. We go back in for a follow up on Wednesday

Wildflower is not quite her usual playful self. But has enough spunk to be annoyed and let me know during medicine time and compress time!

During Wildflower’s session:

Wildflower (or Sunflower haha) said is feeling better and not afraid anymore. Wildflower is surrounded with love and caring people so this is a safe place. Wildflower is doing some rest and relaxation while healing. Wildflower likes to PURR sometimes because it feels so good within Wildflower’s whole body. Wildflower is positive that the purring is assisting in Wildflower’s healing. Wildflower is happy to meet the guardian angel. WOW. More Love and kindness that is blanketing Wildflower. This feels like Wildflower is in a sacred space that is caring for Wildflower. Right now Wildflower is purring within . Everything is so nice right now

A day later :

Thanks to you and Candy! Wildflower Sunflower was bouncing around this morning like her normal self. We hadn’t settled on her middle name – all of her siblings got one around April (2nd birthday). This morning I asked her if she wanted to be called Wildflower Sunflower and she paused and nodded! So she has her middle name. 

Yes, she is such a positive little force. I call her my little greeter – she’s unafraid of anyone and always made sure everyone’s head is clean.

We love that not only was Miss Wildflower feeling better but she even got the middle name that was coming through during her session : Sunflower 🙂
