Mom said there isn’t really an issue – Ziggy is a kitten and Kiki is a bit older (though still young). Sometimes he takes playing too far and she hisses and runs away from him and he’ll keep going so we separate the two of them. But other times she grooms him and they cuddle, and they’re always together.
So let’s get Kiki’s perspective and how well she shares is exactly how it is.
Tuning into Kiki’s energy , she shared :
Kiki said Kiki is enjoying Ziggy. Yes, Ziggy can be wild but Ziggy is a kitty and doing kitten stuff. Kiki lets Ziggy know that Kiki is in control and can allow play and Ziggy wild kitty behavior. But then Kiki needs to maintain some space from Ziggy play. Kiki feels loved and cared for by Mom. Kiki doesn’t want mom to ever underestimate how much gratitude Kiki has for Mom. Kiki knows how to play and let Ziggy fight, play run, jump and then how to call Ziggy to a halt. Enough- Kiki needs to rest and be left alone! Sometimes Ziggy persists and wanting to play so Kiki shuts it down. STOP. Then Kiki and Ziggy are happy again . This is how cats and kittens play.
