I just signed up for one session for my cat Dusty. Dusty is an 8-1/2 year-old gray American short hair. He was just diagnosed last week with heart failure, HCM. He has had an x-ray that shows enlargement of the heart and thickening of the heart wall, he also has pulmonary edema and has been prescribed Lasix once daily. I have been placing my hands on him, especially around the heart and lungs area a lot and he loves it. Since he has lost his appetite, I have been steaming him chicken the last few days and he loved it. Today, he really had no appetite for any food at all. I have heard so much about Reiki. I know whatever we do may not reverse his disease, but I know he will feel comfortable with Reiki. Thanks so much.

-I want to know in general how he feels and if there is anything I could do to make him feel better;
-I want to know about his loss of appetite;
-Dusty has a girl cat siblng, Tiger, is there a way to make Tiger understand he is sick and have her care about him more? She is keeping her distance. 

As we connected with Dusty and sent healing energy to his heart and entire physical body he shared this with us:

Dusty said Dusty feels even more tired than normal. Sometimes breathing is so hard. Mom is so loving and kind. Dusty is grateful for Mom. Dusty knows Mom wants Dusty to feel better but Dusty’s body is not functioning very well. Good news Mom Dusty’s soul is soaring every day and Dusty feels the soul connection with Mom. Tiger knows Dusty’s body is beginning to fail and Tiger is staying away because this is now cats deal with serious health issues regarding a sibling. 

Thanks for the session today and the report, reading his thoughts made me cry but he seems to tell me it’s ok, he’s taking it ok. He was probably napping in the backyard when the reiki session took place. He had almost completely stopped eating yesterday and today was no better. He’d lick the food off my hands but wouldn’t not swallow anything, and he’ll just turn away completely sometimes. Besides the food though, he looks calm and happy and loves sticking close, loves having my hands on him. One thing that may have changed is his breathing. It is definitely slower and calmer tonight. His breathing rate in deep sleep hasn’t been below 30 the past week, but tonight it’s 28, so I think it may have to do with reiki! 

Then a day later we heard from Mom again :

One more update! Dusty is doing a lot better today, his appetite has come back and so has his energy! His eyes are bigger and brighter, breathing still quite calm. Amazing!!

Reiki is cumulative so the more we receive, the better the benefits. Yay for Dusty!
