More ferals!
Feral Kittens (Moonbeam and Sunshine): So, not surprising, I have been feeding two feral kittens, sometimes their momma and occasionally their papa that live on the property of a historical business a block from me. Moonbeam is the little girl and she is very friendly and has started following me (and one of the other caretakers – there are three of us) home. I would love to get both Moonbeam and her brother Sunshine safely spayed/ neutered and checked out. I think there is a possibility that my Mom would adopt them, but there are definitely people in the neighborhood interested. Sunshine is shier that Moonbeam but they really spend all of their time together. They are almost six months old (I think they were born in early April) and I would like to get them settled into homes in the next month.
We connected to Sunshine first :
Sunshine said Sunshine knows human kindness because of you and others here. Sunshine feels nervous around humans. Please have patience with Sunshine. A home indoors is a strange idea because its unfamiliar to Sunshine. Maybe a practical plan to have Sunshine receive the care needed by Sunshine. Will Sunshine’s sister be with Sunshine? This would and could be a happy arrangement for everyone.
Moonbeam said everyone thinks Moonbeam is discriminating but Moonbeam is just afraid. All of Moonbeam’s strength and confidence comes from brother Sunshine. Yes, Moonbeam would enjoy some comfort and even human companionship. Just know that Moonbeam and Sunshine are both independent with lots of dignity too. Yet some food and shelter sounds promising to both brother and sister. Kindness from everyone has and is appreciated.
