What I like most about this session is that all ferals say something similar in regards to their freedom or the love of being outside. Stormy is adjusting due to an illness. Stormy also displayed to us he has a fun sense of humor.
After Reiki sessions – another common thing I hear back is that it strengthens the relationship between the human and the fur baby.
Here’s the story:
Hi Ming, are you and Candy available to do a reiki session for my kitten Stormy? I really want to help him trust me (he was very feral when he showed up in November). He still doesn’t like or want to be touched and he has a vet appt next week for surgery that I want to get him ready for.
Why do you like the tree by the tv so much? Is your momma cat around? What does she look like?
So the questions I have are these: what can I do so that he trusts me to pick him up? What does he need from me?
After a month or so of this I got him to the vet. He was diagnosed with an immune issue so he has not been outside since mid November. I hope to create a space for him to go out in the back patio after he is neutered.
He became friends with Scout (my second youngest) this fall. I kept my office door to the outside patio open during the warm fall and he would follow Scout in. Stormy liked to play with the toys.
During Stormy’s session:
Stormy said Stormy at times feels disappointed living in doors. Stormy does work on patience being inside a home. Story believes Mom’s questions are mysterious. Mama looks like? Mom, look in the mirror. Stormy knows just because Mom is not a cat doesnt mean Mom is not a Mama to Stormy. The tree conceals the feeling for Stormy of always being inside. Tree is a mental pleasure of outdoors for Stormy. Being with Scout on the patio is an adventure out. Stormy is slowly learning tolerance for a different way of living . Please allow Stormy to adjust and accept . Stormy will be as close as Stomy can be. Stormy is grateful to Mom for all the love and kindness Mom showers on Stormy all the time.
Mom wrote us back :
Yes, he’s actually doing really well. It’s like we have opened a new way of communicating and understanding. He seems more relaxed. I am so glad to know he feels the love. I am understanding that patience will help him feel safe and better adjust. I’m planning how to build a cat playground in the back patio. He’s a really sweet little guy and has much such immense progress in a few months.
