It’s never any fun when an animal transitions. In fact I am still writing a book about it after my corgi transitioned.
When an animal crosses over to the rainbow bridge as many call it. We wonder what our fur babies can see over there and what the ones here with us can as well.
Seuss left Mom, Shadow and Scout. Before Seuss left he gave the gift of time with his family. Seuss shared:
Seuss said Seuss doesn’t understand what , why that all the systems are out. Seuss feels like Seuss’ body is not responding to Seuss’ thoughts or commands. Seuss is trying to adapt to all this discomfort and pain and not really being able to. Seuss’ circumstances are really difficult to mange . Seuss’ body is NOT working right. Seuss is trying hard to manage whatever is happening. Mom is being so kind to Seuss and Seuss is very grateful for all the love and care. Seuss feels so out of it. Not sure why Seuss is very lethargic. Seuss’ angel is here helping Mom care for Seuss.
Later that evening, Seuss transitioned. Shadow and Mom still here as well as the kitten Scout.
We connected with Shadow to check on him. Everyone deals with grief differently. Animals also deal with grief.
Shadow said Shadow understands Seuss needed to go with the spirit animals that were here for him. Shadow doesnt want to make this an internal struggle because this is life. Shadow reaches for Mom’s food and milk because its Shadow’s gesture of wanting to feel the connection between Mom and Shadow. Kindness gives Shadow and Scout more confidence of feeling safe and loved. Shadow looks forward with hope and optimism – not back because that is gone. Today and even tomorrow matter. Shadow still sees Seuss and can feel Shadow’s angel as well as feels the spirit of Seuss here with Mom, Scout and Shadow.

He’s doing great!!! Thank you. Yesterday was also good because the special powdered goats milk I ordered for him came, so he got a double order of milk last night because Scout didn’t want his.
Thank you and Candy again for sharing your amazing gift. Around the time you were having the sessions, I was cleaning my ears and found one of Seuss’ hairs on the QTip. His hair is very easy to differentiate because it was striped. It made me smile.
Thank you so much for doing the reiki sessions. It brought me peace knowing that Seuss and Shadow are thriving. Shadow is here to remind me to stay present. I am so lucky!
Ming and Candy ~ it’s been a week since Seuss transitioned, and Shadow and Scout have handled it so well. Shadow has been keeping tabs on me, making sure my energy is staying in a good place. He checks on me a lot during the day when I am working, just like Seuss used to do.
When I cry now, it’s generally because I’m recognizing how truly blessed I am to have Seuss, Shadow and Scout in my life. Thank you again for giving my family the blessing of healing during this transition.
