Leo is a semi feral cat my neighbor feeds outside her house. He hasn’t eaten anything for the past six days and looks pretty apathetic. He’s not himself and now spends most of his time sleeping inside his little house outside her property or on the yard. She just mentioned this to me last night and would like to take Leo to the vet but he won’t go anywhere near the food so it may be nearly impossible to trap him. I just went to see him and it seems like he has an upper respiratory infection. He has teary eyes and he’s coughing up phlegm. He could benefit from some Reiki while we figure out a way to trap him. My questions are:How is he feeling and what hurts? Does he feel he can get better on his own? Would he cooperate to get into a pet carrier so we can take him to the vet? Anything else he would like to share.
When we connected to Leo, this is what he shared with us. Very similar to what other feral say. But it also doesn’t mean that we can’t help them. I do know ferals that have become more like house cats.
Leo shared: Leo said Leo is grateful for all the food and care offered to Leo with no attachments needed to be satisfied by Leo. Leo realizes it’s a sobering reality check when humans get the message that Leo does NOT want to be trapped and taken in for a journey Leo does want to go on. Please understand Leo can be thankful without becoming a pet some humans control. The guardian angel is amazing and Leo feels it surrounding Leo.
