Stumpy is a 12 year old female cat that has been congested for almost 3 weeks along with sneezing and coughing. She has nasal discharge (green mucus) and watery eyes. We took her to the vet last week and the doctor said it seemed to be viral with secondary infection going on so he gave her an antibiotic injection the lasts 2 weeks, gave her fluids and instructed me to get Saline drops to apply in her nostrils to help thin mucus out. She was tested for feline leukemia and AIDS and got blood work done and everything came out normal. Her eating has improved since the doctor’s visit but she still very congested.
As we sent Stumpy Reiki – she shared: Stumpy said Stumpy knows everyone is trying to help Stumpy feel and get better but it knots Stumpy up with stress and dislike of the stuff you force into Stumpy’s body. Stumpy knows all this health care is supposed to be therapeutic for Stumpy but doesn’t translate to Stumpy’s body . But the guardian angel sure does feel good. So big and surrounding Stumpy which is great.
After the session: we heard back:
Stumpy is doing somewhat better. No more watery eyes, a little less congested and less discharge from her nose. We ended up taking her to the vet on Friday morning. The vet says that since the discharge and congestion is coming from only the left nostril it might be a polyp or a mass up there .
Stumpy doesn’t like me to medicate her but tolerates it and cooperates more than before. I feel that the session we had with her helped her to be more cooperative and I’m glad that she knows that were trying to help her even if she doesn’t like it.
