This is a compilation of 2 Reiki Sessions for Jake.
We received information about Jake and his new diagnosis of diabetes. He was becoming resistant and aggressive with the insulin shots. He also was an abandoned stray so Jake has been through quite the journey. We sent Reiki for mental healing as well as to his Endocrine system. When we connected with Jake the first time:
Jake said Jake feels the pain of everything. Jake ultimately must try and get some self control over all this stress Jake feels when the needle comes . Jake has never been in control of any of this (health) and Jake does want to be good and allow whatever is needed for Jake to happen. It doesn’t feel safe when Jake doesn’t know why or when Jake will be hurt. Jake starts out in fear and everything then because even more frightening for Jake. Jake feels nice now because of the angel here protecting Jake . Jake is all wrapped up with this angel. Safe and love. Jake tries to let go of the fear that seems locked in the dark recesses ad now with Jake’s angel it feels better.
Thank you both for working with Jake! I received the report not long before his evening shot, and we handled it a little bit differently and I told him about the shot coming and that there would be a little bit of pain, but I definitely talked to him more about it before hand. He has always gotten his favorite treat after, but he also got it right before hand as well. He growled just a little at the end of the shot, but once it was done, he jumped around and was so much more “excited” than in past…it was like he was saying “yay, I DID it!” or maybe he was saying “yay, that wasn’t so bad this time!” 🙂 It made me very happy for him! I will continue to talk to him about when the needle is coming so he is aware, and will tell him to talk to his angel who is with him and will help him. And will continue to just beam him all my love even more during the “yucky” procedures.
I think maybe the second session might be good in about a week, baring any big changes. But I will touch base in a few days with how things are going.
Thank you BOTH again! Thank you to Sammy Diva and thank you to all the angels and any other unseen friends who helped/are helping!
With my love and gratitude,
Jake’s 2nd session:
Jake said Jake knows that the fear that sometimes grips Jake is a choke chain that Jake needs to release. Jake does hear the messages of love and kindness from everyone. Jake’s guardian angel keeps Jake brave. Jake knows Jake has courage and these pokes and sticks jabs are to help Jake get strong and stay well. Jake says relax Jake, stay calm and trust is the song Jake keeps singing in Jake’s head . Jake knows no one wants Jake to leave and have to stay in the Dr’s Vet’s house- NO- Jake tries and will keep allowing and working on the healing to take over. Jake wants a healthy body too. Jake is grateful for all the kindness and care Jake feels now.
Thank you to you and Candy! I’m so glad to hear that Jake is doing better and that he is feeling better about things as well. We will continue to really talk to him about things when we do the “yucky” stuff to him and give him tons of love, support, and encouragement! I also will continue to tell him he can talk to his guardian angel for love and safety.
I will say that for tonight’s insulin shot, when the needle went in, he gave what sounded like to me a “shuttering breath” or maybe a doggy version of a heavy sigh, but the cool thing was he gave this sigh but continued to hold completely still for the shot. Like he was keeping himself calm through it. We of course gave him tons of love and praise for the shot, but he got even a little more after that and I told him how brave he was. He seemed to be a little extra “happy” when it was all done. 🙂 I love this boy so much, he absolutely IS “such a love”!
Thank you again! Sending you ALL (you, Candy, Sammy, and your other unseen helpers) my love and gratefulness!

May I comment on something that I have read somewhere else? You know how animals sometimes take on their person´s diseases or symptoms, or how they can mirror them, don´t you? Well, Amelia Kinkade says that diabetic dogs usually have a person in their home who drinks more or less a lot of alcoholic beverages.
So I have a friend whose husband used to have a drinking problem. (Some time ago I gave her your book as a gift, too – we are both Reiki practitioners. ) Their lovely female dog, Maya, has diabetes and of course really dislikes her daily insulin shots, and her system needs constant monitoring as with all diabetes patients. Well, I told her about what I had read and she told me that her husband had quit drinking and that it was the first time in many many YEARS that Maya (12 years old) had her levels completely stabilized.
Do you know if anyone drinks at Jake´s house?
You ladies are great, I loved your book, I your stories.

Thanks for the comments Livia. yes it is true, animals take on our diseases all the time. We actually wrote about it our
book 😉 Reiki Fur Babies. Not sure who else lives with Jake. But appreciate your comments. Thanks for stopping by!

Livia, one of our dogs got diabetes in the last couple years of his life. We don’t drink alcohol. So while there may be a correlation, that’s not the same as causation.
Our dog was a blue heeler, and it is not uncommon for that breed to develop diabetes in later stages of life. I would encourage people to have all their senior dogs get checked for diabetes every year, as catching it before the kidneys are affected is key.
