Cody seems to have finally recovered from his hospital stay and now he must return. He’s been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (after an exam for weight loss) and we have elected to treat him with radioactive iodine. This is the same treatment Meiso had last year with excellent results. But he will have to remain in the hospital for up to seven days. The treatment is simple – an injection much like a vaccination – and after that it’s all just hanging around and waiting for the radiation level to come down. But he will be alone and blind in a strange place for all that time and we cannot visit him.
So I would like tell him ahead of time what will be happening and assure him that he will indeed be coming home soon. His biggest obstacle will probably be boredom. He will have his regular food from home, so I want to tell him he should eat like normal and stay strong. I would also like to ask an angel to be with him throughout this time and onward.
During Cody’s session : Cody shared: Cody said Cody realizes that from all the conversations that Cody needs to go back to the animal home for a short visit (we have never heard it called this way so happy to hear this, since most animals calls it the vet)
Time to explore more about this body Cody is in. Cody does not see with eyes yet Cody sees with other senses. Cody trust Cody ‘s instincts no matter how- sometimes people try to disguise what Cody knows. Cody’s heart is full because Cody is loved and lives in Cody’s wonderful family . Cody knows Cody is cared for and now with this angel here surrounding Cody with all this love and protection , wow Cody will be home soon from the visit to the animal home because Cody belongs home.

What a lovely session! It’s funny that Cody uses the term animal home. I’ve been telling him it would be a little vacation, like staying in a hotel or a spa. Maybe he picked up that it’s supposed to be calm and relaxing 🙂
I have attached a photo I took this evening while Cody was having his session. He’s relaxed, but looks very intent. I love this sweet guy!
Cody did very well at the “animal home.” They said he ate well, and was friendly and responsive to those who tended him. Several of the vet workers came to tell him good-bye when we took him home, and he seemed alert and very content on the long ride home.
We’ll know more about the success of the treatment when we recheck his thyroid levels in a few weeks, but Cody seems to have already started to gain some weight and fill out a little. He doesn’t feel nearly as fragile as he did before. We’re happy with the treatment and very happy with the clinic we chose for him.
We had another sessions for Cody when he was weaker:
Cody said Cody knows Mom will do any and everything fro Cody. Cody wants everyone to know that Cody is not attached to whatever disorder, disease or problem within Cody. Cody really understands things that nobody else could. Cody’s soul is residing in this imperfect body and Cody accepts this. Cody’s soul is Cody’s true self. Cody does not want more pain or pokes or time away from Cody’s home. Cody wants to embrace the love and kindness in Cody’s home and family. Mom has the wisdom to make the BIG decisions about and for Cody. A calm and peaceful life at home is Cody’s hope.
From Mom:
Thank you for Cody’s session!
I have never seen Cody’s body as imperfect; I only see him as strong and beautiful in spite of all that he has been through (body and spirit).
After his CT scan next week, we should have a much better picture of Cody’s status, and will honor his wishes as much as possible.
