The story of Lele:
I was on my way to my Mandarin class when I discovered a little pure bred chihuahua zigzagging through traffic towards a major highway. It was a matter of minutes before he’d be on the highway. I pulled over to try and catch him. Luckily, another woman also pulled over. If it wasn’t for her, I’m not sure I’d be able to catch him. He didn’t have an ID tag, didn’t have a microchip and wasn’t neutered. I decided to keep him unless I found his owner. If he did belong to someone, they are not looking for him which doesn’t surprise me considering he was running around without any identification and not neutered. Well, he has been with me since I found him. I wasn’t looking for another dog, but it seems like he has adopted me. I’m calling him Lele (pronounced luh-luh), which means “good luck and happiness” in Mandarin. He’s super smart and there’s something extra special about him, that’s for sure. He loves my dogs and they love him. He’s still a puppy, a year old at the oldest. I’d like to know what he thinks about me, my home and what was going on with him the day I found him…and of course anything else he might have to say. 🙂
When we connected to Lele, he spoke of just running to LOVE!
Lele said Lele knew the MOMENT love wrapped Lele in her arms. Lele grabbed this chance for all this love and kindness. Lele knew to RUN towards some happiness and the moment would present itself. Lele appreciates all the wonderful surroudings of Lele‘s home. Lele was captured by wonderment and joy. Lele has hope now and every momemt feels the optimism that is here in Lele‘s home. Lele knows Mom will trust her instincts and keep Lele close because Lele will add to the family.
