Jack was a feral cat we captured in March of 2014. He had developed cellulitis in a foreleg and we caught him to take to vet. We then adopted him into our family, and call him our “reformed feral.” He has adjusted well to domestic life and is quite affectionate and easy-going, although he can be a little too rambunctious with our other cats. This morning Jack developed problems with his hind legs. He was wobbly, his legs weren’t working well, and his hind paws were knuckling under. Fearing a saddle-thrombus, we rushed him to our vet who feared the same and sent us to the specialty vet.
After an ultrasound, it was revealed that Jack does not have a saddle thrombus, but he does have a clot in his right hind leg and a large clot is still working around in his heart. They are afraid the clot may eventually be ejected, causing a saddle thrombus at that point or even sudden death.Jack in now being hospitalized at the specialty vet; he is on oxygen and they are treating him with blood thinners and clot dissolvers. His prognosis is “guarded.”Please send him healing and balancing, let him know what is happening, and tell him we love him and will come for him. We just want him to get better and the vet will help him. I’ve already lost two cats to cardiomyopathy, with one of them developing the saddle thrombus. It’s very frightening.
When connecting to Jack while in the hospital:
Jack said Jack is sleepy and afraid- strange place and strangers all around. Jack does know that Jack is here for healing. Jack is dealing with these challenges. The guardian angel is here surrounding Jack with love and protection. Jack feels hope and knows Jack is loved and cared for by you. Jack is trying to relax and just observe all this experience is bringing. Jack is here and wanting the healing. Jack will work from within because this will give Jack empowerment.
Jack’s second Reiki session:
Jack said Jack has been trying to allow the healing within. Jack feels things are confusing because Jack could do everything, now Jack has to use Jack’s motion in a more calm way. This will help Jack with all these challenges that are ever present. Jack will take the medication maybe Mom can wrap , hide it in a delicious tasty treat fro Jack. Jack does feel loved and cared for every day and this is soothing all of Jack’s fears. Jack ‘s guardian angel is always here with Jack too.
From Jack’s Mom:
Hi Ming! Hi Candy!
This indeed describes Jack’s recovery since his return home. Before his illness, Jack was a force to be reckoned with – jumping, running and chasing everyone. Now he has to learn a new way to use his legs (at least until they regain full function). He’s doing very well and getting a little better every day. He’s been quiet like a good heart patient, and we pray that the clot in his heart will remain attached until it’s gone.
We’re hiding his medicine in treats, and after we found treats he actually likes he’s been taking them well.
We have a follow-up with the doctor tomorrow; I’ll let you know how things go.
Thank you so much.
Love and light,
