I received this http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/12/15/obie-the-doxie-calendar_n_6317604.html on my facebook page one day. I read the article and my first reaction was whoa. I was quite speechless actually. I let it sit with me for several hours and then came back to it. Agreeing with the person who sent it to me that it would be interesting to hear what Obie had to say. Next thing you know it was a reality. When we had the appointment set up, Obie started visiting Candy through out the day popping in and out of consciousness. Candy told me I’m already getting messages from Obie. Wow, I said. The last time that happened, we had just starting attuning animals for the very first time. Blueberry the bettafish was one of the first .. and he was so excited to tell his story , he showed up to Candy before his appointment. So we knew Obie was excited.

We as humans have a curiosity…. Especially in such a story like this. Why did Obie eat so much, how does Obie feel now? Does Obie have cravings, is he sad?

I have learned this much over the years communicating and healing animals that they are NOT attached to disease like we are. They also live more in the moment. They live in gratitude. They are the amazing teachers.

When we connected with Obie, here’s what he shared:

Obie said Obie has heard all of the questions. Obie wonders why about all the questions. Maybe because people live in a different understanding than Obie. Obie always always felt loved and cared for. (Obie really was stressing this point so there was no mistake in misunderstanding) Obie was never familiar with these terms of “fat”, “skinny” or “obese”. Obie lives within Obie. There is a lot of respect that comes from within . Yes, Obie is aware of all this extra new attention directed at Obie’s outside appearance. Obie has enjoyed walking, playing and the interaction of all the activity. Obie wants to help others react in happy and positive ways towards Obie. The angel that is surrounding Obie feels so amazing. Obie wants to say Obie appreciates all the kindness that so many give to Obie.

Notice, Obie doesn’t want to answer the questions, which in our experience happens a lot. They like to say what they want to say and sometimes will answer. Obie’s coming early to Candy is because he wanted to make sure that he got across to everyone that all he ever felt was love with that couple that cared for him.

Obie lives in the moment. Obie lives in the present. Obie is unaware of the labels we use for people… where does Obie live? Within Obie.

Obie is one magical dog and I for one am thankful to have connected with him! His owner Nora said, she calls Obie her magical dog!
