Reiki For Ilona the Dog Post Hip Surgery

Physical issues: Ilona”s hip went out of place again last night. As it was second time she needed surgery. She had so much osteoarthritis in there so only option to fix the hip was to remove the end of the hip bone. Lots of Warrior Reiki for her to support her healing now 🙂

When we connected with Ilona and sent her healing from our entire spiritual team, dragon included this time!

Ilona says Ilona is glad to be home even with the soreness. Ilona knows this is hard but it keeps SLOWLY getting like a release from the pain. Ilona does feel cared for and knows that Ilona is safe and loved. A lot to ponder while relaxing and healing. Ilona wants to feel strong again, maybe tomorrow.

We then heard from Ilona’s Mom:

She is actually doing better than we thought she would. She has been surprisingly strong every moment after the surgery. Standing on her four legs even in the hospital. And now when walking slowly, she already uses her left leg quite much. The doctor suggested, that some dogs the pain had been part of their life also previously so they are used to using the sore leg just like any normal and healthy dog. This might be for Ilona also. Shame, if she has had pain previously, but on the other hand, the leg should recover faster now.

The doctor gave her no jumping rule, so that the hip will recover as close to the right place as possible. But Ilona seems to have her own rules 😀 I forgot a dog-sized place on the sofa, and she has today jumped on the sofa. And off. Without any trouble! And this evening I was giving Kassu his food in the kitchen, suddenly Ilona ran there also. She had jumped away from the area we have for her! After that we used couple of boxes to make the wall of that “healing area” a bit taller, so she wouldn’t jump again. She clearly has her own ideas what she should and should not do 🙂

Love the last sentence “Ilona wants to feel strong again, maybe tomorrow.” It seems to describe quite well this attitude she has, that she is doing quite well. And acting much better than the doctor described. I think I’ll have my hands full trying to get her to keep the pace slow enough long enough 🙂
