I work on a rescue farm where I am blessed with the opportunity to meet so many amazing animals in different stages of their journey. The first day I met Page he stole my heart as he walked right up to me and nuzzled my arm. He had history that included many hardships but we were going to start over with a fresh start. He had some arthritis and an old back injury but we could work with that and keep him comfortable as we moved past his past. One day his leg swelled up and within one week he crossed over, he had an infection in his joint and in his bone. With his arthritis in the other leg and his back pain and advanced age he just couldn’t fight the infection. This is what I wrote the day that he crossed over…it describes him and our relationship and lessons he taught me that I will never forget.
Our horse Page aka Moose crossed over onto the Rainbow Bridge today. I feel like my heart has been ripped from my chest and there is a hole there. He was the most special horse. You could not help but fall in love with him, all you had to do was look at those eyes and expressive ears. He was so thankful and gratefu…l. So eager to please, he tried his best at anything he did. He had a lot of pain from an infection the past week, but he was never mean, he was never crabby, he never “complained” when we treated it. He was grateful we were helping him. He opened up his heart and his soul to us and gave us everything he had. He taught us so much, about life, love, pain, carrying on, giving. He was always in a pleasant mood, always ready to do whatever it was you were asking him to do. And he LOVED treats! He loved being loved. And I loved loving him and I will never stop loving him and holding him in my heart with me. Right now the pain is more than I can bear, but his spirit is with me. He will never leave me. Every time that I ride Grace he will be the angel horse riding alongside us. I love you Page! We tried everything we could to help you. Thank you for sharing your precious heart and soul with us
My name is Diana, I live in a small town in PA but was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. I am a Registered Nurse. I also work at a horse rescue farm. I have loved animals and felt a very special connection to them my entire life. Through RFB I have become a Reiki Master and through that process and working with these wonderful ladies Ming and Candy my abilities to communicate with animals has expanded and continues to expand.
