Sonic is 7 yr old thoroughbred horse. She had been with her new family for a week. Mom wanted to see how she was doing. She had past trauma from racetrack and racing life, changing home environments
Physical issues: Past trauma from racing lifestyle, adjusting to life within the herd Questions to be asked: How is she adapting? Does she know that we are her forever family and will never leave her or hurt her?
What does she need from us? Did she have past trauma and how can we help her move past that?
When we connected with Sonic, we found a very intuitive horse. Reminding to live not in the past but to live where, right H E R E.
Sonic said Sonic is ready for more kindness . Yes Sonic knows you are bringing something good from Mom and Dad for Sonic. Sonic knows that this is Sonic’s forever home and family. Sonic felt the love Mom was blanketing over Sonic and when Dad appeared Sonic soul connected to Dad’s. Sonic feels safe and all the worries and past misfortunes are left there. Sonic is H E R E with everyone making a home and allowing the joy to fill Sonic because of Sonic’s forever family and Dad 🙂
What a sweet soul! I thought we would have to explain to her what a family and mom and dad were but now I know that she has an incredible wisdom and depth that she wouldn’t need explanations. She is teaching me to let go of the past and be here in the moment.
She is doing great! Everything is so new to her at the farm. At the race track she was basically left in her stall 23 hours a day and taken out for one hour to exercise on a machine. Not much human or horse contact. She is so easy going….she takes everything in stride. She has made a special bond with another horse and it is very sweet to see her resting her head on the other horse. I was talking to some friends at the farm and we all feel she has something very different and very special about her. Her eyes are just magnificent. I feel like she is talking to me. She said that she accepts who she is and loves who she is and just wants to let her spirit shine out from her to brighten others around her. They said she had “terrible bloodlines” and wasn’t fast enough so they wanted her out of the race barn to make room for a “better horse”. I get angry that people treat animals that way, but I can feel sorry for them too because they are missing out on the beauty and lessons that animals teach us. Today was the I felt to her. She has let go of the past so completely. She has a lot to teach people. I have a hard time letting go of the past and I was focusing on it with her but she wants to move on. So we are just having fun and loving her and taking one day at a time! Thank you!
