Midnight is 9 lab/rot mix. She was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy is similar to Multiple Sclerosis in humans, where it is a communication breakdown between the brain and the nerves, specifically the hind legs (which is why hers are weakening rapidly). She will also have trouble with incontinence and controlling her bowel movements. Basically, it affects her lower extremities and she”ll eventually end up paralyzed. The first vet gave her a year, the second vet gave her 7 months.

Midnight said Midnight does get worried when Midnight’s body doesn’t move as fast as Midnight’s thoughts are commanding. Mom has been so kind to help Midnight realize this is not Midnight’s fault but a disease that Midnight’s body has.
