Hi Ming,
Any chance we could get an emergency session for Cisco at some point today? We are at the vet and he has a mass on his liver. We aren’t sure what’s coming next but anything would be helpful.
Cisco said Cisco hears all the chatter and Cisco sees Mom’s concerned face. Cisco does not enjoy these visits to the Vet doctor, not one little bit. Cisco gets poked pinched stuck prodded … wow when does the fun start? When does Cisco go home? Yes Cisco knows that Cisco will be having more time here- oh no – but Cisco must trust Mom on these big decisions because Cisco doesn’t know how to fix a body. Cisco’s angel keeps Cisco reassured that things will be fine. Cisco is questioning how and what defends fine? Cisco is sending the healing to every cell that is in Cisco’s body, Cisco keeps working on using Cisco’s healing energy to resolve the tumor so Cisco can get back home and back to Cisco’s life. Cisco will keep working and Cisco is glad you are sending so many angels to Cisco during surgery.
Cisco should be getting out of surgery soonish if they are on schedule. When you did the session, we were in the waiting room with him, petting and visiting him before they took him in around 5:30. He seemed to be sleepy but looked better than he had all day, so I’m hopeful.
They also said his bloodwork was almost perfect, the x-ray was clean, and they saw no evidence of a systemic condition like lymphoma. The oncologist was positive and said that unless they found something during surgery that they thought it was a good chance that it would go smoothly.
Oh good timing, the vet just called! His surgery went as well as could be expected. They didn’t find anything unusual other than there was either an infection or part of the tumor was dying off and so it was smelly when they went in. They sent a culture off for testing, but even if it does come back as cancerous, liver tumors grow very slowly so it would be at least another year or two before it became a concern. So now it’s just waiting to be sure he recovers from what was a major surgery. At his age, it’s a lot more taxing on his system.
Thanks for the positive vibes and for giving cisco lots of love before he went in for surgery!
More from Mom: Just another quick update… we visited him today and though he was spacey from his drugs, he looked good. His bloodwork is all pretty good, with a few elevated levels that are not unusual given the surgery he just went through. I feel pretty confident that he has a few more years left in him at least and this is just a speedbump. If all goes well, he should be able to come home tomorrow. Thanks again for everything!
