I had a long chat with Azami’s foster mom and this is what she shared with me.
 
Azami basically was taken from the environment she was in by stealth. She was monitored for more then a week before the steps were taken to get her out of the situation. She was chained up with no food or water for more then a week and as a result is way under weight. Luann believes she is about a year old and that she has had a litter of pups. Who knows what became of those pups. Her fur is coming out in clumps and she is too skittish for Luann to even try to give her a proper bath. She is warming up but the emotional damage to this sweet girl has been great and Luann has a long road to go before Azami will be even close to ready for a forever home.
 
Last Friday Luann was doing something in her front yard and in panic Azami went through their front window. Thankfully she was not injured but the panic attacks happen often if Luann steps out of sight for any length of time.
 
I am sending the pictures under separate cover. If you need any more information or if I learn any more from Luann when I meet her for dinner this evening I will forward it on to you.
 
I will also tell Luann the session will be this Thursday evening at 5:30 our time and 6:30 your time. That time is perfect because I know that both Luann and her husband work and I know that Luann would like to be in the house while the work is being done.
 
They also have 2 or 3 other dogs and a couple cats as well.

I am so amazed at what azami had to say. It was not much but in truth she spoke volumes. I was chatting on fb with foster Mom while the session was going on.  Azami looked up and sniffed the air. Midway through she got up and went & gave Luann’s husband Allan a hug. All of the Furbabies in Luann’s home were attentive. When the session ended azami gave a big contented yawn.

When we heard what Azami did during her session, we teared up. We have since heard that Azami is doing much better allowing her foster Mom to help and work on her!
