It is all about the journey and not the destination. Every day that goes by you just
never know who you’ll meet, what people may touch you or even the animals you
may meet.
Our trip to Grand Junction, CO had been in the planning since the first book signing
At Candy’s house. As the time drew closer we were both excited because Grand Junction
Has always been a special place to us. Last month we were invited to be on the FOX
morning show which was very exciting. As we flew from LAX to Denver we could
hear these two ladies talking about angels, shift, energy as if it were their everyday
Conversation. We laughed. Then from Denver to Grand Junction we met a man heading
To a scientist convention to study compassion. He truly was an interesting man, we chatted
about the changes on the planet. Candy gave him our book, and as he read it on the
plane he would turn and comment, nod, laugh and continued reading until we landed.
We chatted if there was a world where we did not blame people. We loved the fact that
it was a guy! Many of our contacts are women and it was nice to see a guy that was so
like minded even in the study of science (like myself- studied pharmacy)
We hadn’t even landed yet and the people and events around us were amazing.
Then at the luggage claim we saw our wonderful host and friend Linnie Krauland.
It’s always such a joy to spend time who gives of her time and heart so lovingly.
As she dropped us off at the Marriott where we stayed back in February we received
such a warm welcome, they remembered us! In fact the guy at the counter asked for
a book! Why do we love Grand Junction? It’s the warm people.
The following morning was our interview with Meaghan Wallace. It was also the unfortunate
day of the shooting in Aurora, CO but Meaghan made us feel at home, and we were made
comfortable until the interview. As we chatted about the book, there wasn’t any nervousness.
Candy and I were grateful to be on the show even for the few minutes. Once the link was live
there was so much support from our friends, family and clients that the link just started going
viral, it was awesome.
Saturday was the book signing at the Art Center. Linnie again had found the perfect place
To host the event. I told Candy that we would share what came to us, and it’s been a little
Dog named Lola in the ICU that had touched our hearts. As we shared her story there
were supportive tears in the room. We received wonderful questions about embracing the
gifts that YOU have within yourselves. Not to doubt but to be open and let them flow.
The rest of our visit was with Linnie, full of fun, relaxation and much needed rest. My red
tailed hawk appeared in a tree to our excitement right at 11:11– which led to us
completing our Usui Reiki Master certificates with Linnie. Which is why
I say it’s definitely not the destination but the journey. We’re excited to see what comes next.
