You were HIGHLY recommended to be by Robin Santos. We found Budster (Buddy) just over a year ago, a scared pup presumably dumped on a side road in NH. We took him in, tried to find his home for months on end, when nothing came of our efforts, we gladly took him into our home & hearts. He is best friends with his “sister,” our coon-hound mix, Vegas. Recently something happened & caused him injury (whether it was him & Vegas bouncing on our bed or him launching off of it..which he does regularly). I brought him to the vet, they said it was probably a soft tissue injury & gave him pain meds. Tonight I had to bring him to the ER because — although all week he seemed to be drastically improving — he took a bad turn for the worse. He was in a lot of pain, they put him on Prednisone & doubled his pain meds.we are now instructed to either bring him in if it gets worse, &/or wait and hope the pain subsides & he doesn’t need an MRI &/or surgery. 🙁 He’s only 2 1/2~3 years old & i REA
LLY don’t want him to have to go through that; I’ve heard the recovery is awful, if, in fact, the surgery is successful. Any help is so greatly and truly appreciated.
Best wishes,
Tara (and the whole family!!)
Becomes VERY loud around other dogs, rather intimidating. Has been nippy in the past towards people. We”ve worked with a trainer and have tried every lead on the market. I prefer to try to stay with positive reinforcement, but he can be very head strong.
Physical issues: He recently sustained some sort of back injury. At first they thought it was soft tissue injury. He was started on pain meds, started showing improvement. We probably pushed (or should I say, didn”t hold him back) a little to far a little too quickly. Saturday night he took a very quick turn for the worst.
Questions to be asked: What can I do to help??? How do you feel?? Are you happy with us? Why the fresh attitude sometimes
Buddy said, Buddy really does not understand why and how bodies work. Buddy just knows Buddy’s body has been hurting when Buddy is moving around. Rest the body and this will help the body. Buddy understands the reasoning behind this plan. Buddy wants to sleep and relax away from any painful feelings so Buddy is on board for this RX of healing. Buddy does like the idea of drawing from within Buddy for healing energy. The endless supply all day, every day as Buddy needs the healing is great! Buddy wants to tell you how happy Buddy is because you are also sending Buddy and Vegas a guardian angel. Vegas is the best and now Buddy and Vegas can be surrounded all day by all this angelic healing energy. Mom always knows what Buddy and Vegas needs so she provides!
Brought the Budster to his Neurology appt yesterday – NO MRI NEEDED AT THIS TIME!! :o) Some serious down time — LOTS of good rest and relaxation (which isn’t really easy for a beagle, but yes, he does seem to understand that is what he needs. THANK YOU ARCH ANGELS!! THANK YOU REIKI FUR BABIES!! I will continue to keep you posted.
