As we were connecting to Olare, the goodness and sweetness of her soul flowed through me to putting me to tears. I actually thought to myself if my heart was as pure as Olare’s.
Olare talks about helping the babies and how the challenge from the elephant did not interest her. See what she says about it.
From Olare’s keeper’s diary:
“Olare paid little “Yetu” (Yatta’s baby) a lot of attention while Yatta was busy feeding. Kilaguni challenged Olare to a brief test of strength which didn’t last long, because Olare was anxious to keep up with the others”
Olare keeps busy all the time. Whenever the new babies arrive Olare gets very excited. Olare wants to help protect each and everyone. Olare wants them to feel at home, not lost or too lonely. Olare wants to blanket each baby with Olare’s loving kindness. Some of the bigger elephants like Olare really can not understand why Olare takes this nurturing upon Olare. Its because this helps Olare feel good. Olare knows sad, lost and alone and afraid. Olare could be the mother to all lost and lonely creatures. Yes, Olare remembers some interference with my loving caring for the smallest baby ever, but Olare was too concerned for the well being of Olare’s baby. This interference was like a bug flying around but Olare could not stop what Olare was doing to swat it.
As I listened to Candy telling me Olare share what I had felt, it made me realize what a special elephant we are fostering. We picked the right one to send love and healing too for all the love she is showing to others and to even all creatures. Here’s the very first blog about how Olare was found as a baby….
