To elaborate with Zooey, my puggle,
she gets bad separation anxiety that affects her digestive system. My husband and I are going to be going out of town for a couple of days and we have someone coming to take care of both her and our cat Nami. I would love to be able to ease her fears and let her know that even though we will be away we think about her and Nami all the time, miss them and are always eager to get home to them. I would like to also help her understand that Nami doesn’t play the same way that she does and that we would love to understand how we can create a more peaceful environment for both of them.

Zooey does know that this is not happening and you must be the reinforcements Mom has brought in to get this message across. Zooey knows they always come home but listen Zooey wants Mom and Dad with Zooey because they are the most best fun. Nami is not really a playmate because Nami is a cat. Ok Zooey has more fun with a ball or stuffed toy with Mom on the other end. The place they are going wont let them bring a small dog named Zooey? Why would they want to go to a place like that anyways (Zooey is making us laugh, what a little character she is!) Ok, ok, Zooey is getting the message. Mom and Dad gone, will return, Zooey will have a caregiver who will be nice to Zooey till Zooey’s real love returns .
