My cat, Kirbe, got out yesterday and was out all day. Since late yesterday afternoon he has been in my mom’s closet, he came out briefly last night and I tried to pet him and when I touched his lower back he got very angry. I think he may have gotten scratched or hurt himself somehow but he won’t let me examine him. He basically went back in the closet and was still there when I left for work. He is my little escape artist but he doesn’t go out often and he tends to stay close to home when he does but I have no idea where he wound up yesterday. I just want him to feel safe and to send healing energy to any physical injuries. I would love him to just loose all interest in the outside world and be content being indoors as Khole is but he is a cat and it is part of his nature. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kirbe said, Kirbe was wondering why are you visiting Kirbe’s cave? Kirbe and Kirbe’s angel were all snuggled down and discussing some recent events and how they unfolded to create a boo boo on Kirbe’s lower back. Kirbe will share with you the events that led up to the soreness- crash, pow, plop, rolling, splat to Kirbe’s recollection those were the sounds or feelings that Kirbe experienced. Angel was not as much help as Kirbe thought Kirbe’s angel is capable of being. That’s something Kirbe and the angel were discussing when you arrived. Candy said, ok, Kirbe we are really sorry you had some kind of mishap outside and the healing energy will help Kirbe feel better. We are also going to reboot your brain and lessen the need for wandering. This will allow Kirbe to be an inside kitty without missing the outside. Kirbe, we are sending you extra bolts of healing to your spine to help soothe the soreness. Now come out of your cave so Mom can see that you are doing better. Khole wants to say hello too.
Well my cat is nothing if not opinionated! He is not shy about sharing how he feels. I just called my mom a few minutes before you sent me the email and my mom said he was outside of the closet and laying down near the cabinet in the dining room. I’m glad Khole said hello! I will keep you posted on how he is doing.
Next morning:
Thanks so much for fitting Kirbe in.
Several days later: Kirbe has improved a lot since last week. He is not spending a lot of time in his man cave. He is wandering about and jumping up on things like usual. He lets me pet him though and I have been able to touch his back without him getting mad. He does have a rather nasty knot on his back still, but the swelling seems to be slowly subsiding. It doesn’t seem to bother him though or keep him from jumping about. However, I am keeping an eye on it. Kirbe is not exactly “Vet friendly” so I am hoping Kirbe continues to heal on his own. He does seem to look outside and debate going outside but today before I left the house I asked his angel to keep him inside and AA Michael to protect him.
