We received an email from Ducky’s Mom : The issue is what I suspect is a torn ACL of her back left knee. It started after her foot slipped between our mattress and the dog ramp we have at the end of our bed. She pulled her foot out and from that point, she started limping.
She gets (or got) daily off leash beach or forest runs of an hour a day, so we stopped doing that when she started limping. When the limp stopped, we started again and the limp came back. This went on for a month and finally, I rested her for 2 weeks and she seemed fine but as soon as she ran again, the limp returned.
When she stands, she puts more weight on her right back leg than her left. For awhile, she would barely put her left toe on the ground. We’ve completely curtailed all activity–not even letting her go out in the yard by herself–for one full month. (This is quite a feat for a young Springer–she’ll be 2 years old in July, so she’s all full of springiness and her only speed is FAST.) She’s now putting her foot on the ground more normally but there’s still that slight cant to the right. All of this is indication of an ACL tear, and I want it to be fully healed before I let her run again
During Ducky’s session: Ducky said, Ducky could feel the vibration of that message. All the huge angels (she is referring to the Archangels as they are larger than angels) are here too. Ducky feels so calm and very at peace. Candy told Ducky, we are sending this healing energy to ALL your cells and this will turn help expedite the healing in your body. Ducky said, is Ducky all better now? Can Ducky rest a bit more too? Yes, Candy told Ducky you can do almost anything anytime. Ducky we are also sending you your own special angel. Ducky said, Ducky wants to keep Ducky’s angel close, really close by. Ducky thinks Ducky’s angel is beautiful and really nice too. Ducky knows that the angel will always help Ducky and just hangout because that’s all they let Ducky do now.
Hi Ming & Candy,
Thank you, thank you for Ducky’s healing! She’s asleep with her head on a stuffed Garfield right now. She was sleeping pressed up against me during the whole half hour session.
I do have a question. When Ducky says she’s ready to run and you say she can do anything, does that mean the knee is fully healed to a point where I could let her run and it will hold up? Or is it an intention for the knee to be that way? I know this is my own stuff–not Ducky’s, but multiple times, it has looked like she was walking normally and seemed fine and then we let her run and she came up limping again. She still seems to be canting just slightly to the right when she stands. I want to keep the progress we’ve made in the resting.
I know Ducky has a sense of humor–it comes through in the way she plays and interacts with us, and it’s fun to hear that it came through in her communication with Candy. She’s a little happy imp. I also know she’s way ready to not hang out any longer.
Thanks again!
