I began to foster Smoke last December when the shelter told me she was 11 yrs old and her owner passed away and the relatives said she had a playmate and they found him a home but not her.  My friend Dan who works at the shelter told me that Smoke was screaming and crying for 3 weeks and needed to get her out of there desperately.  Even though technically I’m her foster mommy I’m keeping her . My friend Dan is keeping it officially as a foster in case she needs vet care down there because i have 3 other kitties Manny, Munchkin and Morgan.  I can tell Smoke is still scared and has been very traumatized by all of this.  She sleeps in the bedroom with me and will not leave the bed even to go the window.  She leaves to go to the kitty box that’s it.  She has only of late allowed Manny to sit on the bed with her and let Morgan near. She and Munchie are terrified of each other. She cries when the  kitties go near her.  Sometimes she cries and wakes me up but I think she feels ok when the door is closed and she is just with me.  Poor baby.
