Well this yellow lab is MY yellow lab, Sammy Diva. She is the mother of the seeing eye! They retired her at 2 years old. At that time, I rescued her and she became my fur baby! They had named her Diva, so I kept the name as she had won 1st place in a beauty contest.
She is the reason I learned Reiki. She is the reason I learned Avesa. She started to get canine hip dysplasia to the point where my husband had to carry her up the stairs. I began Reiki on her every day, sometimes hands on, sometimes via distant. Eventually she was healed! I was shocked one day as Candy told me Sammy jumped in her SUV!! Well as she aging, her hips are not what they used to be. Last week, after we took her to her fabulous groomer, she came home not bearing weight on her left rear leg.
Later that afternoon I asked Candy if we could give Sammy a session together since we had not done that. As we connected with Sammy, Sammy said, Sammy loves this. Sammy needs this. Sammy knows she is so special. Yes, Sammy feels the Reiki and Avesa healing energy flowing through Sammy’s body. Sammy feels so good and warm. Sammy can tell you that Lucy (Lucy is our pembroke corgi) is happy with the energy too. Sammy knows that Sammy has to make Sammy’s own healing energy come from within too. Sammy is having fun doing this with you (Candy) and Mom. Yes, Sammy sees the angels too. Mom will the house with all kinds of love for Sammy.
When I got home, I saw this loveable yellow lab wagging her tail and no longer hobbling!
I am not a practioner of Reiki and am purely writing this from the opinion of a user so I cannot quote facts and figures on how and why it works. All I can say is that it worked for me. I was a dancer for 18 years which left me with arthritis in my leg and hip joints and was living a life of almost permanent pain because I am not a believer in long term drug use. A friend of mine was going through her Reiki training and asked if I would be her guinea pig.
After the first session I immediately felt more mobile and stayed pain free for the whole week, I could do things that I hadn’t been able to do for years such as running up the stairs when normally I would be hauling myself up using the bannister. I could walk longer distances and generally had more energy.
Unfortunately my friend moved away a short while ago and my weekly sessions have stopped as I could not afford to pay for the treatment. My arthritis has come back and every movement is painful, this is obviously a treatment that needs to be done continuously. I just wish that I could afford it all the time. I cannot speak for everyone but I can say that it definitely worked for me and made my life easier and happier. My friend said that I may need a few treatments before it made any difference but it worked first time and every time for me. I must have been one of the lucky ones. Anything that can help alleviate permanent pain even for a short time must be worth a try.
