Ok, truth be known. Candy and I did not know who Colette Baron-Reid was.  Before the conference I looked over the keynote speakers and did notice that Colette was the first speaker. I read a bit about her and thought cool, she was in the same group as Lisa Williams.

Opening night at the I Can Do It Conference we were so busy setting up our booth. This was our first trade show. I was excited and a bit nervous at the same time.  I had no idea what to even expect.  But the 4 days besides the incredibly hard work it was amazing to meet so many like minded people. In our line of work I love that we meet animal lovers.  I know my face just LIGHTS up to talk about a dog, a cat, really any kind of fur baby. Even a turtle.  As the evening went on Candy and I noticed a woman on the stage full of passion and energy. She was making people laugh. I realized it was Colette speaking but we couldn’t hear what she was saying.  The next day, a woman came running up to our booth with a dog! A live dog. She said Colette sent her. I thought, Colette as in Colette Baron-Reid? I asked Rhonda to run and find Candy.  The woman, handed Violet over to me.  I tucked her in my lap, greeted her and started to Reiki her. Her pounding little heart began to slow down.  Candy came and sat next to me and began to talk to Violet. Daisy(who had crossed over) her sister ‘appeared’ to Candy as well and said all was well. Violet had lost her sister several days ago. By the time the mini Reiki session was over Violet was smiling. I could her Violet’s Mom saying, Violet is SMILING! I looked down and sure enough a smiling dog. Candy talked to Violet’s Mom and told her the message that Violet was saying.

Later on Candy sent me a text message saying she was in a line to get a free reading. I ran over to see who, it was with Colette. Candy told me that she told Michele who worked with Colette that she didn’t know who she was! That’s Candy, she’s always honest and just is who she is.  But when Colette gave Candy her reading, Candy said, now she’s the real deal! She began to tell others about Colette. When I got my reading,  Colette was so warm and down to earth. She was so approachable unlike some of the others. It was like I had met her before and I had no idea how BIG this lady really is. She told me I was going to be on TV and  I would change Reiki. I listened with awe and excitement began to build within me.

On the last day, at our booth, Colette appeared right in front of me. I thought, OMG she’s right here! I was so excited. Her husband was as warm as she was. He told us he would put us on her Facebook page! Had I known Colette, how BIG you actually are, I would not have put my hand on your shoulder and whispered in your ear!! Candy said it was good I didn’t know.  I read today on the internet that Colette is the intuitive’s intuitive !! Whoa !!! We both were talking today after our Reiki sessions we want to be as grounded as you, as real as you are always.. warm and approachable. Thank you for coming by Reiki Fur Babies booth. It was an honor to meet you.
