So there has been all kinds of natural disasters all over the planet as of lately. Clearly something is going on. Even my coworker told me even if you don’t believe anything at all you have to admit there is something going on. 

For my family we live in earthquake country. I’ve lived in CA for a long time and experienced two sizeable ones, one where I was so scared I thought I was going to die. But I have never fully prepared for one.  After this week of some close friends and family giving me a little prod or push, the words that have been ringing in my head for years- “get water” finally got heeded.  I took all of this very seriously. As my husband and I (and I’m always so grateful he just rolls with me) gathered supplies, crank radio, flashlights, batteries, canned food for us and dogs, and even got dog boots, there were many changes in the house. 

One morning the girls always sit and wait for me to get ready. I looked right at Sammy Diva and told her WHY we were doing this. I told her our plan. I told her she and Lucy would be safe and if I was home Dad and I would take care of everything. As I talked out loud to her, she literally just stared at me eyes meeting mine. No, I wasn’t giving her Reiki, I was just talking to her. Lucy sat nearby as I talked. That night she let me put on a boot on one of her paws. I told her that it would only be for emergencies and that if we didn’t need to, she wouldn’t have to wear it.  She made a lot of noises , talking to me… seeming a bit concerned.

The next day Auntie Candy came down to talk to them. She told Lucy to stay with Sammy Diva until she could get to them in case.  Candy told met that they both understood the plan.

There you have it.  Include your pets in your safety plans too. They’re part of the family! Blessings of angels, love and light to everyone and their fur babies.  There’s going to be a lot of shifts, let’s all stay safe and in balance!
