So Savannah gets Reiki twice a month. Just like the brussels griffon who receives weekly Reiki, we are able to work on other issues besides physical healing. In the beginning we were working on Savannah’s self esteem she had been picking and picking at herself. Last few sessions we had heard her feathers were just about all grown back. So the last two sessions a new bird Bentley (white bird posted) had joined the home. Mom wanted to know what Savannah thought. Candy said, I’m not sure what Savannah will say… I said, well, just ask her as I send the physical healing to her feathers!
So Candy did: Candy said: Well Savannah my pretty pretty bird how are you this evening?
Savannah said: Lovely, lovely. Candy said: I just saw a picture of your brother Bentley.
Savannah said: That big white thing is my brother?! Well, well, I guess he’s not another house guest. He’s big, white and he talks. He’s not beautiful like me. But you must remember I am a pretty bird. He does seem okay though. I do like to study him at times because I see we are both birds and I of course like to see what we have in common what we don’t. Things are fine with us. I’m sure he feels REALLY lucky to have me as a sister.. of course he does!!
We just cracked up. Sometimes Reiki can be such a hoot!!
We heard back from her Mama the next day, what was the time that you sent the Reiki. We told her and she said : Yes… she is just like that in her behavior… she looks at Bentley like she is trying to figure him out… by no means does he intimidate her at all… She sees me petting Bentley all the time, and that is why she has been allowing me to pet her a little bit these days…
The reason I ask about the time is that at 6:30 she was crawling around the finches cage then she climbed to the top, put her foot up and acted like she was sleepy… she was chewing her beak (making a scraping sound) which means she is happy… so I thought I would ask when you were doing it… cool….That is funny… my sister brings her bird down, Beakie, and he goes home… so I see why she was thinking Bentley was a house guest like Beakie… the reason I ask about the time is that at 6:30 she was crawling around the finches cage then she climbed to the top, put her foot up and acted like she was sleepy… she was chewing her beak (making a scraping sound) which means she is happy… so I thought I would ask when you were doing it… cool….That is funny… my sister brings her bird down, Beakie, and he goes home… so I see why she was thinking Bentley was a house guest like Beakie… smart bird!!
