Passing through Honduras on our vacation and visiting a wonderful animal rescue in Maya Key was a delight.  Its not often you see in one day a jaguar, ocelot, sting ray, couple of seals, an anteater, hawk, couple of toucans, at least 4 parrots, 3 vultures, spider monkeys and an iguana. I realize seeing these animals are significant. As I looked at each one and enjoyed the beauty of them a feeling of surrender  if you will thinking of the animal spirit they each portray.  I wondered what their messages were to me. Seeing them during Reiki sessions and SEEING them is a different experience for sure.

I’ve been reading Steven Farmer’s book Animal Spirit Guides for awhile now. But you know when you read a spiritual book again and again, it’s like reading it new for the first time. You always see something different.

As I walked away from the animals I was looking out to a beautiful turquoise ocean.  The ocelot came back to me. I remembered he was walking in and out of his crate making a very loud noise. He was talking. He didn’t really sound like a cat, he sounded more like a dog with a low guttural voice.  I decided to send him some Reiki. I gave him just a short blast of some comforting healing energy.

I smiled as I read about Ocelot: Channel your nervous energy into an artistic expression.  As I read about each animal they all had a common thread for me, a common message. It was quite powerful and humbling as well.  Jaguar states you are going to experience an awakening and a deepening of your psychic  vision. I took each message and filed them away asking the angels to help me remember.

Blessings to all those animals.  One of the doctors said that after the animals are better they do let them back out in the wild again!
