I’m asking about Reiki for my golden retriever. In 1/2009 she had some major surgery to remove a big tumor from her liver. She ended up having 3 surgeries total – 2 were emergency surgeries. She had 2 lobes of her liver removed along with her gallbladder and her bile duct decided to spring a few leaks, in the end, they ended up putting in a stint – this was a do or die emergency surgery, that took place 2/9/2009… She miraculously recovered and went back to her old bouncy self, running, swimming, wrestling with the other dogs, chasing the cats and just having a good old time! We worked very closely with her surgeon – in the end 3 surgeons – and our holistic vet.. The holistic vet wasn’t surprised but the surgeons were so excited she made it through and made a full recovery! Then… on 2/8/2010 she collapsed after playing in the snow with some of the neighbor’s dogs.. I immediately thought something had torn from her previous surgery so I rushed her out to the vet hospital.. good thing we did.. Turned out she had a tumor on her heart that had ruptured and was causing cardiac failure. but the oncologist said she was surprised that they were as good as they were. Her cardiologist showed me her heart last week and said it was really strong and healthy. She just has this mass sitting on it in the groove between the right aorta and ventricle. The mass has blood in it.. Mentally, and I suppose this is also the goal of the vets!, we want to keep her body stable and strong so it can help heal itself and find a way to cut off the blood supply to this tumor without messing with her heart and then shrink the mass so it is no longer a problem.
When we connected with her, she said I’ve had all kinds of Reiki, healing so bring it on! She said wow, now that’s a surge! Lightning bolts of healing energy going through me! I can feel my own energy healing within me start up! It still has that warm calm feeling but with a kick! I’m just living each moment with my Mom and family. No destination in mind. I’m having a wonderful life because of Mom.
A day after her Reiki session with us, we heard back from her Mama:
Just wanted to report in.. Daisy has been OUT OF CONTROL energetic today! She bounced up first thing in the morning, ran outside to bark with the dogs and relay the morning news up and down the street. She spent time in the back yard sunning with the other dogs, and then wandered around the back yard climbing through the bushes and digging out her… tennis balls and bringing them to me to see if she could get me to throw them for a game of fetch (sorry golden girl.. not until that tumor is gone… ) She beat up her stuffed animals too . She spent lots of time resting too but her energy level was super high today… hopefully she’s using some of it to heal – she’s definitely feeling fantastic though! She usually doesn’t get her zip going until 4pm, She started her day with zip and it lasted all day long. Definitely a noticeable difference from her usual routine. Thanks all!!! She’s one happy girl!
It is always so wonderful to see how animals are not attached to their diseases like we are. They accept them, fight them but yet still love their families for their care. We have 3 sessions with her. Looking forward to giving her more warrior Reiki!
