This isn’t a story about just a dog with a bladder infection. This yellow lab is teaching us how to CHOOSE life.
During lunch Candy and I received an email from the Mama of the healthy yellow lab we gave a Reiki session to! Her yellow lab had a bladder infection. She said, I am such a worried mommy, the vet said that if bladder infections become recurrent that could mean problems in the kidneys, bladder, stones…He’s never had a bladder infection before now, but I still worry. Ask him if he is in pain, or has any side effects from his antibiotics. I wrote her back, of course, it was perfect timing for us! Great!! Thank you so much…he will be starting his first antibiotic dose with dinner (in about an hour). I just told him that he was going to have a Reiki session and he woke up immediately from his nap and started wagging his tail 🙂
(So cute, we are often told when pets are told that Candy and Ming are coming, they light up, run to the window or like Rudy will wag his tail)
When we went to Reiki Rudy, he told us that he did have some pain on urination but he said he was a wild and crazy guy. He asked if the Reiki would bring him a puppy. He then said I CHOOSE a puppy OVER a bladder infection! What a way to tap into his wellness center! That is what Reiki does, helps us tap into our wellness centers. Animals are amazing when they realize they are sick or have an illness. We can really learn a lot. The next day I kept thinking about Rudy saying that. It kept playing over and over in my head.
We as people can learn a lesson from this yellow lab. CHOOSE love over fear. We can CHOOSE. We can choose happiness. We can choose hope. We can choose freedom. We can choose love and light around. We can choose. This is very profound yet simple. Let’s take a moment to reflect on that.
We heard back his Mama, Rudy loved his Reiki session! He was all sad and tired before it started, but once the session started he laid down by me and relaxed for most of the session (he had to get up and bark at a dog that he heard barking outside for a few minutes) but other than that he rested. He seems to have more energy now. We are getting him his puppy, but we need to wait until the weather gets better….if it is not snow, then it is rain and mud. Thank you from both of us 🙂
