Bodhisattva the White Horse

January 14, 2010 by Reiki Fur Babies

From Wikipedia: In Buddhism, a bodhisattva  means either “enlightened (bodhi) existence (sattva)” or “enlightenment-being” or, given the variant Sanskrit spelling satva rather than sattva, “heroic-minded one (satva) for enlightenment (bodhi).” Another translation is “Wisdom-Being.”[1] It is the name given to anyone who, motivated by great compassion, has generated bodhicitta, which is a spontaneous wish to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all living beings.

I’m not Budhist. I had never ever heard the word Bodhisattva before in my life until the other day. When I heard the word and then googled it I was in awe.

This white horse has been appearing to me other than Parker.  I asked him to show me his name. All I got in a dream was him running from left to right and I saw a “B” on his neck.  I thought to myself is this Bridget’s horse? The B was an old looking B, like maybe a crest for a family or something. I tried to find a font as close to it as I could.  I called Bridget and we talked about it. She tuned in and told me, yes, this was her horse from the 1100’s.  She told me he was with me because I was open to animal energy and his name is Bodhisattva.  I was in awe. Being visited by a mighty warrior horse.  That night I asked him to show himself to me.  I saw a flash of light and him running from left to right with a very bright shiny thing coming out what I thought was the side of his head.  I thought at first it was a unicorn I was seeing but he came 4x.  I realized it was a sword.

I could not get the image out of my head nor the significance of his name. I read as much as I could.  I thought of Alanna again.  She is around horses a lot and I thought she could shed some light on this for me.  She did.  She told me that this horse has a VERY different energy than the other animals helping me.  She said he was “magical” (for lack of a better word). She told me he was intuitive, telepathic. He is smart, wise, gentle, loving yet forceful and powerful at the same time!  He was looking for a leader. He would take charge if we are not fully in charge.  If we are fully in our power he will follow or if we doubt he would run over us ! She said she saw images of a goddess warrior riding her horse!

I told Bodhisattva I would like him to stay and help me heal. I would like to ride this horse! What an honor.

That night we had two Reiki sessions. I asked Bodhisattva to join us. I saw a flash of light and a MIGHTY white horse. He is so big. He is so majestic and gorgeous. He was moving, I could see his entire body! I thanked him for joining us in healing the two dogs we had to Reiki that night.

This morning as I was waking up, I saw Bodhisattva again. I think he’s sticking around for now!

As for the Goddess Warrior: Epona is the Roman goddess of horses, from which we derrive the word “pony”. Her feast day is December 18 (my birthday – and I have a birthmark shaped like a horse’s head). She morphed later into the Celtic goddess Rhiannon. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epona.

Thanks Maureen for the information!! How very cool! So have you heard of this white horse that is helping me heal?

Well, I was wondering if he was an actual horse (who had lived and crossed over) or a spirit never-been-incarnate horse….how cool either way. I think the fact that you didn’t know the word Bodhisattva is very telling, since it’s extremely specific (on the level of a message from spirit)…it’s not like you picked up “Buddy”…maybe we can channel him to help Cloud and the other stallions being rounded up by the Bureau of Land “Management”….maybe I’ll try summoning him myself!

Thanks Maureen. I really appreciate your comments! I just wrote a follow up to Bodhisattva I think you will find very interesting. I have
since found out more about him. Definitely, try summoning him yourself!
