First working day of the new year, I received this email from an old client:

I am wondering if you’ve worked with missing animals and sent healing to them, even though you’re not sure if they’ve pass over or are still on this earthly plane?

Missy went missing 1-2 days before Christmas and we’ve not found her.  I still get upset when I think I didn’t even get to say goodbye and tell her how much I love her.

We’ve looked everywhere and the gardeners, cleaners and security guards in the complex haven’t seen her.  Most of them know her because she’d wander the complex as if she owned it.   I’ve basically been out looking for her at all hours of the day, night and wee morning hours.  Put posters up, did a letter box drop, even gave the guard in another complex a flyer just in case she happened to get out of the complex and go somewhere else.

The pound and animal rescue centres have her details, she’s up on the lost pet site.  It’s like she’s just vanished.  And she had seemed happier, was in more often, lazing around the house – she had even started having small rumbles with Osiris (our naughty but sweet boy kitten) and he was so good with her, not being rough like he is with is sister.  It was like she was playing with her buddy Pirate (who went to Kitty heaven in 2008).

My heart sank. I remember this beautiful kitty very well. I had sent Reiki to her a few times. I told her we don’t do “lost” pets. However after talking back and forth, her Mama wanted us to send healing and connect with her so that she would know that Mama was looking for her. That we could do.

When I met with Candy that night, I just tell her who or what pets are on the docket for the night. I didn’t tell her we had lost kitties to do. I know she would tell me we don’t do lost pets! But as I unfolded the story to her, Candy did rememer this  kitty well. She said let’s see what we can do.

As we got into a meditative state and connected with the Reiki. I saw Mochi to my right. Then I saw Missy. I looked and looked to make sure it was her. It was. She was eating. She looked quite comfortable and was in a house. She was clean. She didn’t appear to be in any distress. As Missy sensed the Reiki I saw her roll over and relax.  Then Mochi started talking to her. They were talking! I have no idea what was happening but my sense was that Mochi was healing her and comforting her.  After the session Candy and I compared notes and we both saw exactly the same thing.

I was not sure if this would be comforting to the Mama. I sent healing and comforting angels with the email.

We got this in return,

Thank you for your healing and it gives me great comfort that she is being taken care of.  My animal communication friend had felt that someone had taken her from the garden and she was very annoyed (at the time) that she was taken.  She felt that the person who took her had good intentions and was being kind to her.  She also felt she was nearby, if not in the same complex, it was very close.

I’ve had the same feeling that she was taken from the garden.  We have high walls surrounding the complex, so it is very difficult to get out of the complex without actually walking out the front, locked gate.  She could have wandered out the drive way as it’s just a security beam but it’s just road and she’s a smart cat, she would have not gone that way because there is no garden.

The main this is she’s being taken care of and is being fed and is warm, it’s cold here and we’ve had a bit of rain, which is very unusual at this time of the year.

Its so difficult to deal with the loss of a pet as I am grieving now. But to deal with a missing pet, I think that would be more painful. We are glad that this Mama is at peace. She did share with me her cat has a gift of healing when she talks, perhaps she and Mochi were discussing it.
