The first time I connected with Dasher was in November. His Mama requested a Reiki session for him for his heart and there had a been alot going on. He has the most sweetest energy. Dasher told Candy, “this is BIG BIG BIG (referring to the Reiki) but its not scary. Tell Mom no more big scary people. Candy said he was referring to people poking and probing him. He said tell Mom I’m okay and good. I’m not scared. But this is BIG BIG BIG. (referring to the energy again) He said I know about this from Duckers. (Duckers told Dasher!)

I wrote to Shannon, I don’t know what it is about your pets, but I just wanted to kiss Dasher’s nose. We got an email back saying, I forgot to tell you, Dasher is deaf though I know this doesn’t make a difference with energy. I also forgot to tell you, I gave him my Reiki pillow so I have to get another one. I gave it to him about 2 weeks ago and he sleeps on it like a human uses a pillow. I swear! He needs the angels and the good energy because he gets stressed out very easily. I sign language to him about how I love him and that’s when he calms down but he gets so anxious around the foster dogs and new people.”  So Dasher was deaf, this just made him even a sweeter dog. It didn’t matter to us, we sensed him, he talked to Candy and Candy could hear him clearly.

The next time we had a Reiki session he said LOUDLY the warriors are back for me! Who could resist this little guy being greeted like that. That is how Dasher was every time. He warmed my heart.

Then he got sicker.  We sent him Reiki.

He was weaker but still his spirit was strong. He said Go Dasher, Go Donner, Go Blitzen.  We asked Shannon was Dasher named after the reindeer?  He was. How sweet, he even sang the song that he heard his Dad sing.

This weekend I got an email that Dasher was on his way to the ER, he had orange urine and vomited. I was so concerned I stopped my Xmas shopping and pulled over.  I immediately went home and sent him Reiki and angels . I wanted him to not be afraid. That was my concern. I wanted Sophie there to comfort him.  I then cried.

When I got to Candy’s I told her there was a message that Dasher was in the ER. Then I got the email from Shannon asking for a Reiki session. Candy and I sent Reiki to Dasher and he has the most loving message we have heard yet. Dasher said this, “Mom and Dad, don’t cry. I can feel your sadness. I am good. I feel all the love you are surrounding me with. What a lucky pup. What a lucky pup. I am here with my family. I am peaceful and my Reiki friends are here too. What a lucky pup. What a lucky pup. Lucky me to feel so loved.”

During this session the energy was so strong. Candy said there was a layer of strong love around Dasher too. It wasn’t just the Reiki. It was Shannon and her family.  Love is powerful, love is so strong. Reiki is love. This was truly an awesome moment in time for them.Then Dasher turned a corner and felt better. He ate some. ( Candy and I thought we hoped it wasn’t the surge we often see when pets get with the Reiki which gives them time to say good bye to their families)

In the morning we gave Dasher one last Reiki session. I sent the Reiki as a “cocoon” to surround him and he described it to Candy as if he was being held in our arms.  He said he was glad he was home and even had his Reiki friends with him. We heard later that Dasher crossed over in Dasher style.  I’ll never forget Dasher. I have asked him to come visit me in my dreams and his Mama too.  We love you Dasher thank you for teaching that it’s okay to love even to the end to be strong enough to say its okay to go.  That is what Dasher’s Mama did for him. The strongest and most compassionate way to love your pets to cross over.
