I wanted to title this blog, a Mama’s love that is stronger than cancer and pain.  (But for Google purposes it’s not)

Last night we had a Reiki session for the sweetest looking dog. Here she is with 3 legs. Your heart is already being tugged at. Angels were sent earlier in the day to comfort and heal her before we could begin the Reiki session. (Sophie as well of course)

We got a request from the Mama:
Gracie is 10, she had her left front leg amputated Jan 09, due to bone cancer in her elbow. Lately she is not happy. I believe she is in pain b/c she licks her front leg constantly and pants a lot, especially thru the nite. I do not even keep heat on at nite. I have tried meds from vet including Deramxx and Tramadol. Vets say they don’t know if it is pain or in her mind…..I think pain…..She has arthritis also in back legs, hips and back. I do massage daily and heat packs which she enjoys.

She eats well, drinks normal, poops normal. She is also on Thyroid pill. I feed her well, home cook meat veggies and mix with organic dry kibble. By Wellness. I do love to follow you on Twitter and think you are doing good work for animals.

During the Reiki session, we sent healing to her entire body focusing on her arthritis as well as any limb pain she may be experiencing.  She did not indicate any pain. Instead she had a message to share with her Mama which moved us to tears. She said the pain whether it be phantom or real did not matter, she feels what she feels. But she did want Mama to know that she knows how much she is  loved. She said her pain and cancer is nothing to the love that she feels from her. She wanted her to know that her love is the most powerful thing in the world. She wanted her to know how well she was cared for and that he always feels her love.

Dear Ming And Candy ~
Thank you for sharing with me about my dear Gracie, I agree she really is amazing…..and we are oh so connected, it is crazy. I love her more than anything, she had been through so much in her early life and finding her was a blessing and a very big gift. She has taught me how to be a survivor…and I have taught her to trust this world she lives in.

In thinking about this the next day I said to a friend, why can’t we as people be like this. Animals are so intuitive, so smart. Wow, are we blessed to have them in our lives. It was truly an honor to Reiki this dear one.
