We got a request for a 8 year old Border Collie / Retriever.  Mama said,  “The health issues we’re working on are allergy induced asthma and arthritis especially in her back knees.  Not that she lets either of these things slow her down. Her allergies are extensive – many, many food allergies but also environmental allergies.  She gets periodic allergy shots and we have an inhaler for when the asthma flares up.”

As Candy and I talked about the approach we thought about the asthma and the allergies.  We would direct the Reiki to the lungs and then do a physical healing of the whole body to see where the hot spots were. Candy said she’d do a mental healing as well to see how her breathing was.  This dog has such great energy, so sweet and loving.  She was a joy to connect to. Even with all of her health issues she is a happy dog.

Candy got her to relax and take deep long breaths in the nose and out the mouth. Ahh, big sighs and and she was practicing!  Few hot spots on the hips and paws. A “balm” of Reiki was sent to soothe. She is a gentle loving soul. It was wonderful to give her a Reiki session and she enjoyed it!

We heard back from Mama soon, she said, That sums up Cali’s personality. She’s resting now and her breathing is pretty calm, which is always good! I’ll keep you posed on her progress. I’ve been talking to her about taking deep breaths for awhile now – my husband has a suspicion that she got somewhat used to shallow breathing before we got things under control and might be “forgetting” to breath deeply. 😉 Thanks so much to both of you!!
