Last week we got a request for a Reiki Talk session for an 11 year old border collie mix. Mama was concerned that something might be wrong. His hearing was going, hips may be hurting, wasn’t quite sure. They were going on a family vacation beach house that had stairs. So she wanted to be sure he was okay. (I love this about this Mama, so sweet and caring for her dog)
So during the Reiki session, he just made us smile. He has such a positive and awesome energy! He made me laugh. He did have some hearing issues perhaps in one of the ears but it didn’t bother him too much. His hips were pretty good, not a lot going on there. He enjoyed the Reiki so much. We sent healing to his ears and his hips as well as all over. Candy focused on anything mental. All we got was a lot of joy. I loved his energy! We were happy that Mama decided to do Reiki Talk which would give this border collie a chance to talk to Janet about his Reiki session and what that felt like!!
Again, this is the fun part, I love to hear what these animals have to say about their healing sessions!
C: Oh, I know, and I’m so excited to talk with you and tell you things! I overheard mom say you were going to talk with me!
JR: It’s nice to be met with such enthusiasm! What was it like to receive the treatment?
C: The treatment was very powerful, I could feel changes throughout my body. And you know, it’s funny, it didn’t hurt like sometimes when you go to the vet! I just kind of hung out and accepted the treatment, it felt good.
JR: How do the treatments affect your ear?
C: Like a buzz saw! Lots of vibrations, it felt really funny and I felt REALLY silly when that happened! (NOTE: He sends me the image of it feeling like a little kid going over a bumpy road on their bike with his mouth open, saying ‘ah’ and letting the bumps change the inflection. Quite a clear pic.) Yes, that’s exactly what it felt like! It was fun, I will try it again! (NOTE: Jen, you may hear some funny sounds coming from him as he practices this sound 😉 )
JR: How about your hips, how did the treatment affect them?
C: Oh, I’m not too worried about my hips. They work just fine, I know they’re not what they used to be (NOTE: he sends me a pic of him springing around and playing as a younger dog), but they serve me well. Sometimes I forgot and they slip out from under me, but I just get up and keep on truckin’. I’m that kind of a guy, you know. Tell mom to take it easy, not to worry so much. I’m handling things.
JR: OK, I’ll tell her that. What do you think about future treatments?
C: While it feels good and I enjoy it (NOTE: again he sends me the buzz saw feeling) it’s not necessary to have it done every time I chase my tail. (NOTE: he sends me a subliminal message that he doesn’t want to be thought of as a sissy if he takes too many treatments!) OK, you weren’t supposed to say that, but not that it’s out in the open, it’s true. I’m a dude. Can’t be too sissified.
JR: Understandable. Would you be willing to let your mom know when you are ready for another treatment?
C: (Considers quite a while.) OK. I will do that. I will send her pictures of me receiving the treatment, she will know.
JR: That’s a good idea. I will make sure your mom is aware of that. She also wants to know if there’s anything they can do for you that will help you to have a long, comfortable and happy life.
C: But I do! I have a long, comfortable and happy life! Life is perfect for me, just as it is. Tell mom that I’m OK, not to worry about things. I will again let her know my needs by sending her pictures. She will see pictures in her head and she will know they came from me. She will know, tell her not to worry about that.
Isn’t that just marvelous? I love the sissified. That just cracks me up when we Reiki these boy pets. They’re so macho. You have to love these animals. Giving them Reiki healing is the most wonderful gift. I just love it.
