Yesterday I brought Sammy Diva to the Vet to get her ear checked. I was sure she had an ear infection. She used to get them all the time when I first adopted her. Its been years since she has had an ear infection. Sammy hates the Vet. I don’t know how your dogs are but I have changed Vets 3 times now so she will go in. Its hard to pull a resisting yellow lab out of your car when she clearly does NOT want to get out. I can’t really blame her.  So we go in and they let us have the exam room right away which is cool so we won’t see any other dogs. Sammy would be barking at them. Inside the exam room, Sammy’s leg starts shaking, she is clearly afraid. I hug her, I talk to her and tell her everything is going to be okay. She puts her paw on me.  The Vet comes in and its the same Vet that took care of Candy’s boxer Kc.  She gives Sammy an exam. She says to me, have you seen and felt this mass? Ugh, mass. I am a pretty anal Mama, I try and check over Sammy’s body all the time but no, I don’t remember feeling that.  Vet says she wants to aspirate it. Okay.  Sammy goes in the back room.

I text Candy saying they said the word mass. Candy texts back, I’ll be right there. As I sit in the room, I hold back tears as my mind goes back to the day when the Vet told Candy that her boxer Ry had a mass which was the beginning of the end. Ugh.  Sammy comes out from the back room. Vet says she’ll call me in 2 days with the results and whether or not we’ll need to biopsy it.  Candy is there, Sammy is so happy to see Auntie, tail is wagging. Candy takes Sammy away from the Vet. Yay! I wait for the bill and the antibiotics for the ear. On the way home, I’m crying.  I talk to the angels and tell them to help and heal Sammy. I tell Sammy this time Mama knows Reiki and we’re going to work on that lump and the ear infection. Sammys appears quite calm. Its just Mama that is hysterical.

My good friends Bridget and Janet (animal communicators) check in with Sammy and she is doing fine. She says she wants ice cream. She says tell Mama I’m ok. She tells Janet, “She knows she is surrounded by angels and love, and wants to know how she could NOT be surrounded with angels and love in the house she lives in”. That was comforting. Daddy went to get ice cream for Sammy.  Now we wait.
