Reiki is an Energy Medicine Therapy
In CAM (complementary and alternative medicine), Reiki belongs to a domain (area of knowledge) called energy medicine. In this domain, therapies are based on the belief that disturbances in energy cause illness. Energy medicine practitioners seek to improve the flow and balance of energy in a beneficial way.
Definition of Reiki as given BY NCCAM (National Institute of Health): “ A therapy in which practitioners seek to transmit a universal energy to a person, either from a distance or by placing their hands on or near the person. The intent is to heal the spirit and thus the body.”
Any problem involving mind, body or spirit can benefit from Reiki. In its long history, Reiki has aided in healing virtually every known illness or injury, including cancer, heart disease, AIDS, asthma, back pain, skin problems, cuts, headaches, colds, addictions, etc.
In some cases, people have experienced complete healings that have been confirmed by medical tests before and after Reiki treatments. Outcomes often depend on the regularity of Reiki treatments. The more Reiki you receive, the better you will feel.
This distant healing with Reiki (Divine energy) is used as complement healing in almost all acute and chronic physical illnesses and ailments in children, adults and elderly.
