We live in an age where we are surrounded by an ocean of waves; radio waves, television waves, microwaves, cell-phone waves and of course computer waves.  Our hairdryers, shavers and lamps on our desks flood us with electromagnetic waves.  I bet just 100 years ago a modern electrician would have been cast aside claiming that pictures would be running wildly on a glass monitor in every living room in every home.

Our thoughts are also waves. They transcend time and space.

Everything in our world responds to energy. People, animals and plants are the most receptive.

Reiki is energy. Reiki is healing energy. So if you can think of when we send a distant reiki treatment, its like the radio waves.

Distant healing is a process of using energy (universal energy)  for healing living beings remotely. The healer acts as a conduit for the flow of energy and it is possible to transmit this energy given over any distance. Since there is no time or space in the realm, this distant healing can operate without regard to limitation of space. That is why we can send reiki to anywhere in the world.

With distant reiki the animal is not disturbed in its home or wherever he or she feels comfortable. They usually just go to sleep. Its like when we get a great massage, we drift off. The animal sleeps and the energy flows where it needs to go. If its a physical healing the reiki will go there. If its a mental healing, the reiki will heal the ailment.
