Last night Ming called me sobbing because a cat named Ethyl we have given reiki to many times had died. Ming takes every pet that dies very badly. She cries and feels so sad.
Many of the pets that we are asked to reiki are in their final stages of life. We have appreciated the opportunity to give the pets and their owners the QUALITY if not quantity of time. Some pets get very talkative and affectionate with their families right before the pass. Every owner calls or emails us after their pet passes to thank us for the caring and comfort we gave them in their most difficult time.
We never meet the clients or the pets. Our only contact is during the distant reiki sessions. We pick up characteristics of each animal and when sharing this information with the owners we are always very accurate. So in this sensing we feel an attachment to all the fur babies we reiki.
As Ming continues to sob, I tell her that no animal should die without someone’s tears. Compassion is a wonderful part of every human being.
