This is the part I hate. When one of our pets that we have given reiki to passes on. This one especially. I think we may have given eight reiki sessions to this cat Ethyl. I grew to really love her. This was also our first cat we gave reiki to that has passed. And you know what?  Her Mama told us that whenever she told Ethyl she was getting reiki she would run to the window all excited. I never saw this cat in person.  I have only seen a picture. But when you send energy and love to a pet, as I told you before there is a bond. I cannot explain it, but I form a bond with YOUR pet. I haven’t been able to stop crying. So I figured I’d just blog about it. The owner even thanked us for giving Ethyl an extra 2 months. This kitty had tumors all over her body. She was such a trooper. Loved her Mama for everything she did for her. She had a good life she said. She was happy and knew when it was time to go, she would go. And she was able to go in her own home. This was a blessing to her and her family. I know she is in a better place. She is in a place where she feels no pain. She is in a place where she has no cancer. She is in a place where there are no tumors, where it doesn’t hurt to eat. Part of me is happy and relieved she is in a better place. Part of me just grieves for her loss. Here’s to you Ethyl and thank you for everything you taught me. I’m a better person because of you.
