I have been thinking about writing this blog for sometime now but just unsure of the timing. Perhaps starting out the year talking about it will end up being a good thing. People google “when to let my pet go” very often and find our site. Candy and I were talking about it the last time we lost a pet and she reminded me that many times owners are searching for a last resort when their pet is very sick and will come to us. Therefore the pet may often pass on but not without some kind of blessing. Some of the good that comes from it is that the reiki helps the pet pass on in a way that often gives a very special and memorable time with the owner. That is really a blessing. Many times the situation is such where the dying pet is able to pass on with the owner there giving peace to both. Our pets stay here when they are sick because they worry about their owners more than themselves. Pets are so kind and loving. They hang on and hang on for us. But we need to do them due diligence and let them go. Let them be pain free and be at peace. With reiki we were able to tell the pets as well as the owners how much love there was for both parties. From what I have heard from our clients is that they appreciated the time they had at the end with them as the reiki gave them a calmness even taking a turn for the better, a burst of energy to say I love you and then to let go. I have to admit I also am sad when we lose a pet. And I even asked myself is this something I really want to do? But I do. There is much blessing in it seeing the owner so grateful that they had many special days/nights with their furbaby.
Of course, the many of you that bring your pets while they are not deathly ill see wonderful effects from the reiki!
