One of our dear friends Annie turned 87 yesterday, happy birthday Annie!! And one of the first things she said was that she had wanted to send Heather who had lost Bailey recently a poem. But she thought it was too late. I said, its never too late as Heather still feels the loss greatly. She was so sad to hear that Bailey had passed on. SO…. from Annie to Heather………
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called Rainbow Bridge because of its many splendid colors. Just this side of Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush, green grass.
When beloved pets die, they go to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth. So each day they run and play. Until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up!
The nose twitches. The ears are up! The eyes are staring.
And this one suddenly runs from the group. You have been seen!
And when you and your special friend meet, you take him in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together…
… Never again to be separated.

It is never too late. Thank you so much Annie. I loved meeting you and this poem was the perfect timing. Last night, out of the blue, I just started crying and missing my Bailey boy and hoping he wasn’t alone and wanting him back. This was PERFECT timing for me and a gift from above. Thank you so much for the love that goes with this poem. Hopefully I can get to CA soon and thank you in person. Love, Heather

Dear Heather,
Please, go out and rescue another Bailey! He would be so happy for you. You have so much love to give and this dog is waiting for you to rescue him or her,so don’t wait another day, just do it. You will never forget Bailey, he will be with you always, but think of how happy you will be with another love in your life and how happy that new one will be with all the love you have to give-go for it!
Stay well and have a happy life with your new dog.
I hope to see you soon.
Love, Annie
